Goose Eye Phone Box Library
Keighley Lions Club is proud to announce that the phone box library in Goose Eye has been fully restored and is once again ready to be used by residents.
This project came about from Lion Luke Maunsell who, as a local Parish Councillor, asked for the Club's help in getting it back up to scratch with a new coat of paint and some shelves.
Over a couple of weekends, several of our members scrubbed it down, rebuilt the shelves and added the new paint. It's now looking amazing and we couldn't be prouder.
Thanks to the Deputy Mayor of Keighley Cllr Chris Herd for unveiling it for us and all our Lions, Ruth, Robert, Luke, Cam, Pete and Jordan as well as our friends at the Lions Shed who provided the wood for the shelves. We also thank The Turkey Inn for facilitating us with tea and provisions whilst working.
